C3 Cyclists 2015 TourRiding To Make A Difference
Port Macquarie – Sunshine Coast
March 25 – 29
The C3 Cyclists 2015 Tour saw us continuing from where we finished the previous year in Port Macquarie, and riding 700km up through North NSW through Coffs Harbour, Grafton, Casino, into Queensland, through Brisbane and finishing in the beautiful Sunshine Coast.
Why Do We Do It?
Apart from a love of cycling? Some of us have experienced the trauma of seriously ill children. All of us have seen the devastating impact of childhood illness on families, friends and communities and are motivated to action to make a difference.
We are working with Humpty Dumpty Foundation and C3 Kawana Waters to raise over $25,000 to supply a package of much needed medical equipment to Nambour General Hospital in the Sunshine Coast The package includes a Giraffe Infant Resuscitation Cart that will provide the hospital with access to critical equipment they need for safe, effective resuscitation of the newborns in their care. It is portable, so they can set it up anywhere they need it, from Labor and Delivery, to the neonatal intensive-care unit (NICU), to the well-baby nursery. The other items in this package are to assist in the care of newborns in the Special Care Nursery, Maternity and Paediatric units.
