Christians Against Poverty (CAP) Australia, is a not-for-profit organisation which has been providing free debt counselling and other financial education services to impoverished Australians since 2000. We help anyone, within the catchment area of our centres, who is facing hardship as a result of financial difficulties. To date, we have helped over 2000 families in Australia to repay their debts whilst living a meaningful and fruitful life. CAP provides a unique and innovative debt counselling service which empowers people who are disadvantaged by debt and poverty. We do not provide financial aid to our clients, rather, our focus is to help people to get themselves out of debt and then stay out of debt. Each client is actively supported and assisted by a caseworker and a volunteer, called a CAP Support Worker. The caseworker helps the client adhere to their budget and the support worker acts as a conduit to a range of other support services that may be required.
What is this for and where is the money going?
We rely on the generosity of individuals, businesses & churches to support our work. Please join with us in raising $20,000 to continue reaching out to the poor & needy in our society. Donations over $2.00 are tax deductible. CAP (In conjunction with C3 Church Victory) has been running this fundraising event for 8 years and has raised in excess of $60,000 that has gone straight to supporting CAP’s work on the ground, helping people and families free themselves of debt for good!
Join us this year as we tackle 4 difference courses; 10km ride/run/walk or 30km, 70km and 100km rides. Get out and about, have some fun with family and friends and help raise much needed funds to support the work of CAP! Please note we are encouraging families to participate so get in quickly for this life changing event.
*Note: C3 Cyclists are working in conjunction with CAP and C3 Victory to promote and run this event. Please contact the C3 Victory Office on 02 4922 6800 or email@example.com for more information.
